Leonardo's work explores spatial landscape abstraction, using strong contrasts between light and dark to sculpt form and guide the viewer around organic or geometric imagery. He has a strong interest in both the natural world and our night sky. His imagery has been used in a wide range of publications and has been exhibited internationally.

Leonardo currently holds the Annie Maunder Prize awarded by Royal Museums Greenwich and has a solo exhibition of his cyanotype series New Mountains coming to London in Autumn 2026.
