I'm Leonardo, a photographer and artist living in London, UK.

​

I started my photography career in the beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

During the summer I was Head of Photography for Ziptrek Ecotours in Whistler, where I was in charge of a team of photographers that shot both action photos as well portraits for clients. In the winter months I worked for Whistler Blackcomb's official on mountain photographers, Coast Mountain Photography, where I shot ski and snowboard photography as well as family, child and couple portraiture. 

Following this, I moved to England shooting portraits, products and interiors for clients. 

In 2019 I returned to Canada, setting up a ski, snowboard and portrait service in Banff National Park as well as a variety of photography classes. 

The Covid-19 pandemic allowed me to spend more time on astrophotography and in 2021 my photographic artwork 'Celestial Fracture' won the Astronomy Photographer of the Year Annie Maunder Prize for Image Innovation. 

I have returned to London to resume my photographic services and now concentrate on corporate events, sport and portraiture. ​

I have also started to create astronomy artwork using a mixture of open source data, astronomy imagery and photographs taken of our universe. The most recent one of these 'Fourth Dimension' won The Astronomy Photographer of the Year, Annie Maunder Prize 2025 by Royal Museums Greenwich and is being displayed at the National Maritime Museum in London until August 2026.
